Frank Abagnale Jr. posed as a lawyer, doctor, and pilot.

Frank posed as a Pan American Airline Pilot between the age of 16 and 18. He flew over 1 million miles on over 250 flights to over 26 countries. All of this was at Pan Am’s expense. He was also able to stay at hotels for free during this time. Everything from food to lodging was billed to the airline. Though, Abagnale posed as a pilot; he never actually knew how to fly. He was able to fly by deadheading. Which is a term used for a return flight made by a commercial aircraft without any cargo or paying passengers on board. By extension, a member of an airline's flight staff carried free of charge but not working is known as a deadhead. For nearly a year, he impersonated a chief resident pediatrician in a Georgia hospital under the alias of Frank Conners he became a resident supervisor of interns. Abagnale was able to fake his way through most of his duties by letting the interns handle most of the cases that came in during his late night shift. Abagnale forged a Harvard University law transcript, passed the bar exam of Louisiana and got a job at the office of the state attorney general of Louisiana at the age of nineteen. Abagnale was told the bar needed more lawyers and was offered a chance to apply.
